Here we have a powered proto board, with pots, signal generators, opamps, indicators, and our daily breadboards. A little up and to the right, a working nixie-tube countdown timer. All of our `duinos have been battle hardened with spiky sugru extensions, now they bounce. Lots of toys. Here's an example of a ziplock bag of potential.

Strong enough to do some good evil.

8 years or so ago, I got my dad a nice Damascus Steel blade, it was the xmas present that wasn't. Till the day I bought a 100g bag o black sugru, now it looks like this.

It's sweet and totally weird.

Powers of 10

Nikon (of all people) have an elegant flash app that covers a few powers of 10, actually quite a few. Surprized that I haven't seen this before, as it orginates in way back 2005. That's 1.1758x10¹³ miles ago at the speed of light. However, few attempts have even come close to the elegant Eames Powers of Ten.

Ryden opening review

The LA Weekly has a review of the recent Ryden collection opening, "The Tree Show". Ryden is a flagship of Lowbrow art. I would say is one of the most frequently imitated artists these days. He is a precise and skilled painter with a sensibility for the surreal. The centerpiece "The Tree of Life" sold for 800k!
